Biography

Elgin Francis Sisia is a legal intern at Murugi, Otto & Wadegu Advocates and a final-year Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) student at Strathmore University School of Law, one of Kenya’s premier institutions for legal education. Elgin brings to the firm a deep commitment to academic excellence, ethical legal practice, and a strong curiosity for the evolving legal landscape in Kenya and beyond.

At MOW Advocates, Elgin supports the legal team in day-to-day operations including legal research, drafting of legal documents, filing, and client communication, while gaining valuable exposure to real-world legal procedures. He is especially interested in how legal systems interact with technology and innovation, and is continually expanding his knowledge in fields such as Commercial Law, Human Rights Law, Constitutional Law, and Legal Technology.

Throughout his time at Strathmore University, Elgin has demonstrated leadership, integrity, and initiative. He has participated in moot court competitions, legal writing workshops, and community-focused legal awareness forums, all of which have strengthened his public speaking, legal drafting, and client engagement skills. Elgin is driven by a desire to bridge the gap between the law and the people it is meant to serve.

His goal is to become a well-rounded advocate who contributes to legal reform, policy development, and access to justice. Elgin’s work ethic, passion for the law, and analytical mindset make him a promising future practitioner and a valuable team member at MOW Advocates. He continues to learn and grow under the mentorship of experienced legal professionals, preparing him for a meaningful career in legal practice.
