Elekiah Ochola Omogi is an Associate Advocate at Murugi, Otto & Wadegu Advocates, where he brings extensive experience in litigation and alternative dispute resolution. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B Hons.) from Kisii University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. Elekiah was admitted to the Bar as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya in 2022. He joined MOW Advocates in August 2023 after serving as Head of Litigation at Orende & Associates Advocates, where he rapidly rose through the ranks due to his skill and diligence.
Elekiah has a strong background in Banking and Finance, Employment Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law, Insurance, Consumer Protection, Environmental Law, and Real Estate matters. His areas of legal specialization include public procurement disputes, defamation, judicial review, industrial accident claims, debt collection, criminal law, and landlord-tenant conflicts. He is known for providing strategic legal advice and courtroom representation tailored to client needs.
Before his admission to the Bar, Elekiah served at MMW Advocates LLP during his pupillage and holding over period. Earlier, he worked at the Homa Bay County Assembly as a Legal Assistant, where he gained hands-on experience in legislative drafting and public policy. His involvement in bill preparation and policy formulation strengthened his understanding of the legislative process and public governance.
Elekiah is a member of both the Law Society of Kenya and the East Africa Law Society. He is passionate about justice, meticulous in research, and committed to legal service excellence.
